What do the evidence and interaction scores represent in the molecular interactions evidence file?

In the interactionEvidence.csv file, available to download, what is the difference between the evidenceScore and the interactionScore?

Hello!

These are scores we integrate from the data source.

Each evidence for a target-target interaction is given an evidence score.

Since interactions between proteins are measured by different methods applied by different studies, the evidence scores are weighted based on a confidence score provided by Intact.
They are then aggregated to calculate an interaction score.

Please note, the interaction score can be null.

In molecular interactions widget for KIT (see image), “Score”, on the left, represents the interactionScore, which is an aggregation of the evidenceScores for each piece of evidence on the right. These are not displayed in the widget.
