Is it any essential difference in the "targets" dataset, between synonyms and nameSynonyms?

I am parsing the data of the json and I wonder what key to use for my query, synonyms or nameSynonyms:

I found that at least for the first names, the labels are essentially the same. And the name is not very descriptive. It would be great to know what is the outstanding difference. Many thanks!

Hi @koryclick,

Using AR as an example gene:

symbolSynonyms lists all the alternative symbol (abbreviation) gene names e.g. DHTR, AIS, SMAX1, …
nameSynonyms lists all the full name gene names e.g. Dihydrotestosterone receptor, nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 4

synonyms is a combination of the two.
