Gene burden source mismatch

Hello Open Targets team,

I noticed that on the Parkinson’s disease page, several gene burden evidence are being attributed to the wrong manuscript.

Here, B3GNT3 gene burden evidence points toward Riveros-Mckay et al. 2020 (32150548), which is a manuscript on gene burden analysis on metabolomic biomarkers. It should be pointed toward Makarious et al. 2023 (37348876), as added on platform update 22.11. The mismatch may be due to the fact that when it was initially added, the paper was still in preprint. The wrong attribution seems to include all other results from this paper including GBA1, LRRK2, and TREML1.

Thank you!
Jeff

Hi @kimjonggeolj and welcome to our Community!

Thank you so much for reporting the issue. You are absolutely right, the Parkinson disease evidence is wrongly attributed to Riveros-Mckay et al. 2020 (32150548), another publication that we have curated but which has nothing to do with Parkinson’s.

We have fixed the issue (link). You should expect the changes to become effective in our next release.

Thank you again!
Irene
