Does Open Targets have a table of drugs with a safety rating based on adverse events?

Do you know if Open Targets is going to offer any downloads that can be quickly leveraged for deep learning algorithms? It would be great if Open Targets could offer a table of drugs with a safety rating based on their adverse events.

This question was sent to the Open Targets helpdesk and has been posted here so answers can benefit the whole Community of users.

Hello!

To support various computational and big data use cases, we make the data generated by the Open Targets Platform and Open Targets Genetics available for download using our FTP service:

http://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/opentargets/

If you use our data in your own research project, please cite our latest Platform publication and/or our latest Genetics publication.

At this time, Open Targets does not generate a table of drugs with safety ratings. However, you can utilise our molecule dataset and join with our drugWarnings dataset to recreate the “Drug Warnings” section found on our drug profile pages (e.g. rofecoxib).

Similarly, you can also utilise the molecule dataset and join with our significantAdverseDrugReactions dataset to recreate the “Pharmacovigilance” section found on our drug profile pages (e.g. metformin).

Together, these datasets could be integrated into deep learning algorithms designed to assess drugs with a safety rating.

Below are links to the relevant datasets mentioned above and all three datasets are available in JSON or Parquet formats.
