Different results when querying disease - case sensitivity

Hi,

I was wondering if this was a data issue? Querying the OT interface for obesity as the disease gives me quite different results from using the query Obesity. The former hit list is much longer, there is incomplete overlap between the hit lists and some of the items which appear in both lists have quite different disease association scores in the 2 lists.

Would you mind checking this?

Best wishes, Chris

Hi @ChrisR and welcome to the Open Targets Community! :tada:

The Obesity/obesity discrepancy is due to one term being a phenotype in our ontology and one a disease. It’s definitely confusing, and has previously been reported here for other terms. The EFO team is aware of the issue and is looking into it.

Thanks,

Helena
