# New version as updates or new instances?

Hello,  
great job on releasing the data as a bigquery instance! super useful.

is the plan to release future versions as an _update_ to the existing bq instance/tables or as a separate instance/table?

Hi Eliseo!

We used to have all the releases as separate datasets. However, Google advice us to only keep the latest for the purpose of the marketplace.

Happy to hear more thoughts on this as I can see a value on using previous releases in BQ even if it’s outside the scope of the marketplace
