# Accessing Open Targets Genetics data following deprecation? (finding diseases associated with a SNP)

We have instructions on [accessing the FTP in the Platform documentation](https://platform-docs.opentargets.org/data-access/datasets); you’ll need to modify them for the genetics data. Worth noting that other users have [recently reported some issues](https://community.opentargets.org/t/rsync-ebi-ac-uk-times-out/1863) with accessing FTP data.
